Many thanks to Smomo, who had made the first version of my website all by herself while I wasn't doing anything, and many thanks to Jung Eun Ryu who was so keen with her advice on design and did all the hard work for new version of this website! I had great fun working with her on this website. I am so lucky to have all these people around me~

Congratulations, dear!!
ReplyDeleteHope visitors would enjoy the art works on this site a lot.
It is very interesting to watch your various experiments with colors. It reminds me of similar experiments done with the traditional oriental black-and-white paintings. In case of the oriental paintings, added colors help somewhat the viewers in appreciating the paintings with the painter's views, but at the same time the colors could limit the imaginations of the viewers, I think. Anyway it is quite interesting to realize the differences which you make with your original paintings by adding different colors.

ReplyDeleteHello- found you through Kris Waldherr's tweet-- I love your illustrations! I, too, have a fascination with the whale before it returned to the sea!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments, every one! :-D I feel so good with all these supports, but then now I feel bad that I'm so bad at this blogging thing.. I'll try to do more though. More drawing, more writing, so more posting. (Hopefully..haha..)
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, Rebecca! Kris is a wonderful author/illustrator whom I intern for. I really learn a lot from her!! And yes, right? Those whales are just so mysterious and beautiful!
